Asia’s Firming Grip on World Methanol Markets

Reserve the Best Chance to Meet the Asian Methanol Industry “Up Close and Personal”

In the latter half of 2010, the world’s methanol industry remains keenly focused on Asia. The region, led by China, is leveraging the current low btu cost of methanol to develop its use in energy applications, including DME, gasoline blends, methanol to olefins (MTO), methanol to gasoline (MTG), direct combustion of methanol, biodiesel, and fuel cells. At the same time, methanol consumption into basic chemical products (including formaldehyde and acetic acid) are still expected to exhibit notable growth as well. This leadership in use is creating business and technology opportunities all around the vast geography of Asia. In addition, with several new facilities, Asia is now the largest methanol producing region globally. A spurt of capacity globally is reliant on China's success in these markets, As such, it is now more than ever important to understand the potential outcomes of methanol as an energy outlet.

As the methanol world shifts to Asia, Methanol Market Services Asia (MMSA) and partner company Jim Jordan and Associates (JJ&A) will again bring together experts from around the world to provide state-of-the-art views on key industry issues in a forum which promotes networking and learning, the13th IMPCA 2010 Asian Methanol Conference, November 2-4, 2010 in Singapore. Attendees will include manufacturers, consumers, traders, process developers/licensors, catalyst manufacturers, EPC firms, and industry associations, among others. A cocktail reception on November 2nd, and a dinner at the new Marina Bay Sands on November 3rd and will also provide wonderful opportunities to meet and interact with the region’s key players. This conference has truly become the International Methanol Conference in Asia.

The conference agenda highlights speech titles, speakers, and timing. Speakers should include senior executives from Chinese Methanol-Gasoline blending technology companies, Methanex, Celanese, Ancom Kimia, Asian Clean Fuels, Lurgi, as well as MMSA, JJ&A, Tecnon Orbichem, and many others. Please note that this schedule is subject to minor modifications, although should remain largely intact.
